MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Florida man who went viral during Hurricane Matthew has done it again in the midst of Hurricane Florence.
Lane Pittman became a viral sensation after he was seen holding an American flag while headbanging to Slayer when Hurricane Matthew hit Florida.
Now, years later, Pittman and his flag have re-emerged to “slay” Hurricane Florence.
News 4 Jax reports the stuntman traveled to Myrtle Beach after raising $150 through GoFundMe.
“Pay for my gas/coffee and I’ll go fight Hurricane Florence. MERICA BABY!!! We stick together,” Pittman told donors.
And he came through.
On Friday, Pittman posted a video on Twitter with the caption “YOU ARE WEAK AND SMALL FLORENCE!!!!! FLORIDA MAN IS HERE!!!!!”
He can be seen holding the flag and staring down Florence like only a headbanger could.
“Just being free and American. I don’t let nothing oppress me, especially no dang, freaking hurricane,” he told Fox Business Network reporter Kristina Partsinevelos, who watched the stunt unfold.
